To better cater to our clientele we have different classes: Foundations, Special Classes and Clubs.

Foundations: Start with the basics of a swing dance and move on to advanced concepts. Most first comers will join our Swing Foundations 1!
Special Classes: Focus on a specific aspect of a dance, such as styling, aerials, tricks or connection.
Clubs: Open to different levels, Clubs are a drop-in, friendly environment where each week we help you to better yourself as a dancer.

You will find all the tools in this class to get the most fun out of your dancing and, what is more, to get your partner to have just as much or more! In this class, we will focus on the basic moves and concepts of 6-count Swing, including couple Charleston and a few footwork variations. Le cours de fondations swing 2 poursuit l'apprentissage d'une variété de mouvements en 6 et 8 temps afin de vous rendre plus polyvalents et créatifs. La compréhension du rythme est approfondie ainsi que la capacité de guider et suivre des transitions légèrement plus complexes. Close A Practical History of Swing Dance($110/$90) Number of weeks: 3 Duration: 1:30 per week No prerequisite, Swing Foundations 3 recommended Come discover the history and evolution of swing dances, in this wholly new concept that will blend theory and practice! Learn where swing comes from, what are Lindy Hop, Charleston, Two Step, Fox Trot, Balboa, and many other dances! Week 1: The parents of swing: Foxt Trot, Charleston, Animal Dances Week 2: Evolution of Lindy Hop throughout the years Week 3: Swing Offspring: West Coast Swing, Collegiate Shag, Balboa Close	Balboa Foundations 2($110/$90) Number of weeks: 6 Duration: 1:30 per week If you know the basic movements of Balboa (basic, crossovers, lollies, break turn, throw out, crabwalks, paddles) and a few variations off those, Balboa Foundations 2 is for you! In this class we will complete the vocabulary of the dance, and work on finer technical points such as posture, footwork and timing. Close
Thursday May 31st, 2012	Swing Foundations 4: Develop your Lindy Hop !($110/$90) Number of weeks: 6 Duration: 1:30 per week *English version to come* Vous êtes confortable avec le swing-out, autant dans son styling que dans ses éléments techniques et plusieurs de ses variations, et connaissez maintenant assez bien votre musique. Vous pouvez guider et suivre des transitions de 6 à 8 temps avec aise. Les follows maîtrisent le swivel et le rock step et les leads savent en guider la différence. Vous êtes prêts pour fondations Swing 4, où l'on développera plus de vocabulaire tout en travaillant nos transitions entre les mouvements à travers de nouveaux concepts excitants, nous éveillant de plus en plus à ce que la musique nous dit et nous inspire. Close Balboa Foundations 1($110/$90) Number of weeks: 6 Duration: 1:30 per week The Balboa, nicknamed the "gentleman of swing dances", was born on the West Coast of the United States, and was named after the Balboa Peninsula, one of the places where it was very popular.
