We strongly believe in the street dance aspect of swing; after all, it is a dance of the people. This reflects in the fun-loving, simple attitude of all SCX teachers and dancers.

Dancing together since 2001, Zack and Maryse are pioneers in Montreal's swing dance scene. They helped putting Montreal on the map as a city with top-notched dancers, and from 2001 to today toured the world, teaching workshops and performing in London, Sydney, Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Berlin, New York, San Diego, Toronto and multiple smaller cities in the US and Canada.

As a result of their travels, Zack and Maryse and the rest of the crew are always on top of new trends in the dance world, and they dutifully pass it on to the other SCX teachers on a regular basis.

All year, SCX offers dance lessons in a wide variety of swing dance styles: Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Blues, Shag, Aerials, Solo Jazz... Since 2007 they also offer their increasingly popular kids classes!

Whether at les Bobards on Wednesdays or any swing dance night in Montreal, you can find the SCX community waiting for a good dance. For the highly motivated, three dance teams train at our studio: the ConneXion Crew, Balboa ConneXion and the coveted Swing ConneXion team headed by SCX teachers. Will you make it all the way there?

Situated near Jean-Talon market and Little Italy, the SCX Studios are located in a blooming sector of Montreal. It's also a mere 10 minutes walk from the Jean-Talon metro station.

Extensive renovations and periodic touch-ups have transformed a former fabrics manufacture at 7250 Clark into a top of the line dance studio. Say goodbye to studios that sport fake wood over cement, our floor is 100% hardwood!
